Walked a informational picket line in front of the Democratic National Committee Headquarters, carried a sign saying "Count Florida Votes". 35 to 40 Building Tradesman from Florida and about the same from Michigan walked the picket for 4 hours
Attended General Secretary Mike Fittzpatrick Retirement dinner. The SEDC had two tables for the event. General President Joseph Hunt handled the presentations for the dinner.
Attended IPAL classes which were very informative - A lot of the info was in reference to getting our members registered and the importance of voting.

Kevin Wallace - President of the South Eastern District Coucil, Hosted a dinner for the Business Manager delegates and families. Invited guest Ron Weatherford of Flour Construction attended the dinner.
There were workshops on the Davis Bacon Act, The Building & Construction Trades National Drug & Alcohol Program, Implications for multiemployer plan in reference to the Pension Protection Act of 2006, Market recovery organizing campaign, and using public policy to build union density.

A Pension meeting was held in Jax in Feb. We recieved a Benefit Improvement which came effective on January 1, 2008. Our Pension is in excellent shape and is funded at 95.2%.
